Carla Mendonça (born 1964 in Coventry) is an English actress. She has a degree in Theatre Studies and Dramatic Art from the University of Warwick. Mendonça has also appeared in ''Comedy Nation'' for BBC (playing various characters) during 1998, in episodes of ''Bottom'' entitled "Smells", as Mrs. Cholmondley-Warner in episodes of ''Harry Enfield and Chums'' as part of "Women, Know Your Limits", as Livinia in the ''French and Saunders'' episode "Misery", as Imo in ''Comedy Playhouse'' episode "Cut and Run", as Candy in the ''Lytton's Diary'' episode "The Ends and the Means", as Lyda in the ''Doctors'' episode "Last Supper in Suburbia", as Valerie in ''The Young Ones'' episode "Sick", with Gareth Hale, Norman Pace and Chris Barrie in an 80s comedy sketch show entitled ''Coming Next'', in two episodes of ''Alas Smith and Jones'', voicing various characters in the children's animated CITV series ''The Legends of Treasure Island''. She is the sister of Colonel Jorge Mendonça who served with the First Battalion The Queen's Lancashire Regiment.,〔 and was also a member of the Warwick team for the 2011 Christmas special of University Challenge, who were runners-up in the competition.
